Ms. Amelia Holden, of Marianna, Florida, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, January 7th at Chipola Health and Rehabilitation Center in Marianna. She was 66 years old.
A native of Jackson County, she was of the Baptist faith and a member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church. She was a retired cook.
She leaves precious memories with one son, Travis Demon Holden of Marianna, Florida; three sisters, Sarah Calhoun of Newark, New Jersey, Lillie Roberts and Susie Grimsley both of Tallahassee, Florida; one grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
A homegoing celebration will be held Saturday, January 13th at 2p.m. at St. John Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Alonzo Wilburn officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with arrangements entrusted to the Caring Staff at Peoples Funeral Home of Marianna.
The remains will lie-in-repose for one hour prior to the 2p.m. funeral time on Saturday at St. John.
