Rufus “Mose” Barron age 76 of Graceville passed away on Monday, July 31, 2017 at Flowers Hospital. He was born in Marianna on August 24, 1940. Mose retired from the Department of Transportation after 43 years of service. He was an active member of Galilee United Methodist Church in Graceville and enjoyed fishing.
Mose was preceded in death by his parents, Rufus and Madeline Barron; one brother, Landys Barron and brother-in-law, Wayne West. He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-four years Elaine Barron; sisters, Helene Barron West and Harriett Barron Cox (Ronnie); sister-in-law, Betty Barron; three God Daughters, Kendall Maxwell, Ashlee Shields, and Paisley Rowe; nieces and nephews, Kim Maxwell, John West, Lisa Cox, and James Cox. Mose is also survived by a host of great nieces and great nephews, cousins, and special friends Rodger and Wendy Chambers.
Funeral services for Mose will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday August 2, 2017 at the Galilee United Methodist Church in Graceville. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. A time of visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 in the Williams Funeral Home.
